Title
Dr Michael Wacks

Dr Michael Wacks is a Paediatrician with 20 years’ experience in providing compassionate and excellent child-focused healthcare to children and young people with a wide array of both straight forward and complex medical issues.
He has been a Consultant Paediatrician at King’s College Hospital, London, since 2014, where he works full-time leading a busy and dedicated Child Health team. He qualified from the Royal Free and University College Medical School in 2004 and went on to complete his specialist paediatric training across leading London hospitals, including posts in Neurology, Oncology and Palliative Care. He holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Paediatrics from UCL and became a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2007.
He has presented at national and international conferences on various paediatric neurological disorders including febrile seizures, and been published on post-COVID syndrome.
Dr Wacks is an instructor in Advanced Paediatric Life Support and will provide paediatric expertise for you and your child in all aspects of Child Health including: early life issues such as reflux, immunisations, and development; taking you through pre-school issues like potty training, sleep problems, and growth and nutrition; primary-age issues such as bed wetting, asthma, febrile seizures; and into adolescence with problems such as migraine, headaches and fatigue.
He is committed to a model of care that involves education and shared decision making. He is known by colleagues and families for his thoughtful, collaborative approach and calm, reassuring manner. He takes time to understand what is worrying a child and their family, and works closely with them to plan a management approach that feels safe, appropriate and considered.
Dr Wacks places great value on building trust and rapport— not only with his patients, but also with parents and caregivers who are often navigating stress and uncertainty. He strongly believes that good paediatric care involves seeing the whole child, in context, helping them thrive at home and at school and ensuring families feel confident that their child is in safe hands.
