Dr. Hannah Sugarman is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience, specialising in medically unexplained physical symptoms, neuropsychology, and the complex connection between physical health and mental well-being. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Cognitive Neuroscience. She works with adults experiencing a range of mental health problems. She also has extensive experience supporting individuals dealing with chronic illness, neurological conditions, stroke recovery, and brain injury, providing both neuropsychological support and therapy for those navigating these challenges.

Hannah uses an integrative approach in her therapeutic work, drawing on a range of different approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). She is fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which she can offer either as a standalone treatment or as part of an integrative approach when past life events or trauma are contributing significantly to someone’s current difficulties.

Hannah is deeply committed to providing compassionate, sensitive support to individuals navigating the complexities of their individual difficulties. With a particular focus on those who have experienced confusion or frustration due to the intersection of physical and psychological health, she creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their unique experiences. Hannah empowers individuals to understand the underlying emotional and psychological factors influencing their symptoms, helping them gain clarity and develop practical strategies for healing. Through a warm, professional approach, she is dedicated to helping clients build lasting well-being, fostering a sense of control and meaningful progress despite the challenges they face. Outside of the therapy room, she has contributed to developing public mental health interventions in Hong Kong, as well as creating and delivering mental health trainings and consultations to a wide range of corporate and non-profit sector organisations.
