Dr Leung has developed and managed services across a wide range of client groups, including community-based rehabilitation for individuals with schizophrenia, programmes for behaviourally challenged adolescents and children, and support for individuals with alcohol and gambling difficulties. She also has experience working with people with physical disabilities and cognitive impairments, including brain injury. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), with experience in pain management, suicidal ideation, and relationship difficulties. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Leung has held academic appointments at The University of Hong Kong, where she taught in the departments of Psychology and Social Sciences, and served as Director of the Psychological Services Unit and Acting Director for Student Development and Counselling. She continues to be active in research and teaching, with a focus on problem gambling and behavioural addictions. Dr Leung is also experienced in delivering training workshops on communication, parenting, stress and change management, and workplace wellbeing across both corporate and public sectors. She joined Central Health Hong Kong in 2020 and is currently a supervisor for Mind Hong Kong.
