Title
Dr Chetna Kang

Dr Chetna Kang is a key member of the Central Health psychiatric team and a highly respected Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of clinical expertise across both the NHS and private sectors. Based in London, she provides compassionate, person-centred mental health care to adults, offering a bespoke and integrative approach tailored to each individual’s needs.
A medical graduate of Imperial College London, Dr Kang completed her psychiatric training with the London Deanery and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She sits on the Executive Committee for the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Spirituality and Psychiatry SIG. She is listed on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register for General Adult and Liaison Psychiatry.
Dr Kang offers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

Her integrative approach combines evidence-based psychiatry with a range of complementary interventions, including talking therapies, medication management, nutritional advice, mindfulness, yoga, Ayurveda, Alpha-Stim therapy, and a focus on gut health — recognising the complex interplay between mind and body.
Dr Kang has particular clinical interests in the intersections between spirituality and mental health, as well as supporting the mental health needs of South Asian communities.
Outside of her clinical practice, Dr Kang is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness. She was the presenter of Shrink Wrapped, a weekly BBC radio show on mental wellbeing, and has been a finalist for the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Public Educator of the Year award for two consecutive years. She continues to be a trusted media commentator, regularly contributing to the BBC’s World of Wisdom, Thought for the Day on Radio 4’s Today programme, and other national and international media platforms.
Dr Kang also runs psychological wellness workshops for leading organisations, including Ernst & Young, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Intel, Accenture, and the BBC, alongside public workshops promoting emotional resilience and wellbeing.
